kitchen hook rails

Open displays in the kitchen are very on trend with one form of these displays being the hook rail system. A solid bar hooked mostly commonly with S shaped hooks, these storage pieces are both functional and beautiful. They come in metal or wood and easily could be made from a bathroom towel bar. Of course, they really only look well styled when not over cluttered and hooked with visually appealing kitchen tools. Check out some nice examples below.

iron bracket shelving

I am always looking for subtle ways to spruce up our kitchen and my newest idea is to add in iron bracket shelving. It would be a nice touch to tie in our antique marble table that has a cast iron base plus it would add more storage and interest to our wall space. I am using the below images to persuade Jeff into the hanging process - he absolutely hates to hang things....
