our home

We bought our historic Saint Louis home in August 2014 and have been working to fix it up ever since. It has been a slow and steady process and a labor of love. Below you will find images of our home as well as links to learn more about our progress. 

Exterior:

We have yet to tackle any real projects on the exterior of our home. Since moving in, we have been trying to tame the jungle that is our yard while I am dying to change the front door color. Read related blog posts here.

Entry:

This space is a work in progress. Thus far we have transformed the stairs and started the painting process. To read more about our stair project click here.

Family Room & Den:

We switched what was our dining room into a family room. It needs cosmetic updates that we plan on tackling in phase 1 of our first floor renovation. Our den received a fresh coat of paint which you can read more about here.

Landing & Office:

Our second floor landing is just about complete. We added sconces, ripped up the old carpet and hand-scraped the original hardwood floors. In the office, we put up a new ceiling, changed out the light fixture, added a quick coat of paint and put down new seagrass flooring

Twin Guest Bedroom:

We haven't really done anything to our second guest bedroom but to learn more about our plans for the room click here.

Full Guest Room:

This bedroom was the former homeowners master and the room that required the most amount of work when we moved in. You can see before pictures and learn more about our projects in this room by clicking here

Master Bedroom:

Before moving in, we put up a new drywall ceiling, painted the walls white and hung bamboo shades. For more about our master bedroom click here.

Screen Porch:

Our outdoor sofa was one of the first pieces of furniture we bought for our house. Read more about our plans for the porch here.
