Yao Cheng is a Columbus, Ohio based watercolor artist. She opened her Etsy shop in 2012 and creates works of beautiful color combinations. Cheng's original paintings are around $200 while her prints start at $28 and go up to $80 for a 16" x 20". She also sells pillow covers which are pretty amazing and a great deal at $50 for a 18" x 18". They even have brass zippers!

Happy shopping and have a wonderful weekend everyone!

cabin porn

The Cabin Porn book came out last week. Late to the game like me and not sure what Cabin Porn is? Well, Cabin Porn started as a digital scrapbook of building inspiration for a group of friends preserving 55 acres in Upstate New York. It grew into a ridiculously popular site with over 10 million unique visitors, 350,000 followers on Tumblr and as of today roughly 59,000 Instagram users (Amazon).

The tagline of the site is "inspiration for your quiet place somewhere" and features small structures constructed throughout America and across the world. Check out a few of my favorite buildings/photographs.

The site also premiered Greenwood, a mesmerizing 15 minute film by Adam Newport-Berra about the construction of a traditional post and rung stool.

The fabric collection of Paolo Moschino for Nicholas Haslam Ltd. is what drew me in to this London based design firm. Headed by Italian born Paolo Moschino, Moschino originally worked with fellow designer Nicky Haslam before the two decided to split the firm in 1995. Haslam took the decorating business while Moschino the retail portion - lighting, furniture, antiques, textiles. Now 20 years later, Moschino has established not only a top London home furnishings company but also one of the most sought after interiors businesses.

Below are some of their textiles as well as a few of my favorite of their interiors.
