saint louis craigslist finds

Emily Oster

Emily Henderson of Style by Emily Henderson  has been doing a great series called " Trolling Craigslist" . Each week, she "trolls" a different city's craigslist for great vintage finds then shares them on her blog. So far Emily has featured TucsonSeattleWashington D.C.AtlantaChicago  and Dallas/FortWorth. I am on Craigslist a lot so I thought I would borrow Emily's idea and feature some current Saint Louis items along with some inspiration images as to how I would style or use them in a room.

If you have been following along you already know that I love farm tables. I especially like this one for its wide planked top and curved legs. It would look great with a lot of different styles of chairs. I love the "Scandinavian" spin this dining room has on it and I think it would probably even look better with this table.

These big brass lamps are great statement pieces and so cheap! They would look amazing with black shades like the ones pictured in the inspiration image.

These are Marcel Breuer Cesca chairs. They are a true classic and look great with almost anything. I love Erin Williamson's use of them in her own dining room pictured here.

These Ming chairs are very chinoiserie chic - very on trend. I like their unique design, airy feel and brass accents.

serena & lily

Emily Oster

Serena & Lily recently came out with their new items for fall so I thought I would share some of my top picks. Serena & Lily is one of my favorite home decor retailers. Founded in 2003 by Serena - the artist and Lily - the entrepreneur, the company got it start designing and producing decor items for nurseries. Today the company has expanded to include furniture, rugs and window treatments, wallpaper and so much more. Based in Sausalito California, the company opened its first store in the Hamptons this summer. I love the company for all their great designs but I also greatly appreciate their social mission of giving back. In addition, their commitment to making art accessible - they have their own collection of original art from artists that are both established and emerging - is just one more thing to admire about this small company. So if you haven't looked at their website before I highly recommend it! Here are a few of my favorite new fall items.

And because I couldn't resist some of their classics that I love as well.
