realty round up: park city, utah
Emily Oster
Park City is Outside magazine's top pick for the best place to live in 2013. The article highlights the town's friendliness, easy access and five star culture as its main attractions. Located roughly 20 miles south of Salt Lake City, the town is known for being a tourist hot spot with the number of visitors far exceeding the permanent resident population. It is not difficult to understand why tourists flock to the area as each season has something to offer for the outdoor enthusiast whether it be mountain biking, skiing, golfing, hiking or climbing. The town is also home to the Sundance Film Festival, the United States' largest independent film festival as well as the U.S. Ski Team. Some local finds include:
- Riverhorse - a romantic, upscale restaurant that has won a plethora of awards
- High West Distillery & Saloon - known for its whiskey - this place looks like the perfect apres skiing place
- Davanza's - family owned and operated since 1979 this is a local favorite for comfort food
House #1: $0 - $250,000
This condo is the smallest home I have featured yet at just 357 square feet. It is located at the base of Park City Mountain Resort and would be ideal for the ski enthusiast who only needs a place to sleep after a long day on the mountain.
House #2: $250,000 - $500,000
This home is listed for sale by owner with very few photos. However, it looks cute from the outside and is walkable to historic Main Street. It also has direct access to a hiking trail.
House #3: $500,000 - $750,000
This charming A-frame has a great location, modern updates and can sleep 11 people!
House #4: $750,000 - $1,000,000
The main feature of this home is its view. In addition, it has convenient location to the Park City Mountain Resort as well as the Historic District. Also a hot tub after a long day of outdoor activities would be pretty amazing.
Have a good friday!
