Plain English
Emily Oster
I stumbled upon some real finds this morning. It started with this sheep...
Which led me to this kitchen...
The sheep I saw on Pinterest which led me to it's makers - Rowen & Wren. Rowen & Wren have a really amazing Pinterest account which is where I saw this kitchen by Plain English. It might not be totally detectable but the cabinetry in this kitchen is pretty out of this world and it immediately caught my eye.
Plain English is a traditional joinery company based out of Suffolk, England. Their team of skilled joiners use the techniques of 18th and 19th century cabinetmakers to make all their cabinetry by hand. They don't use "gadgets" or "plastic bits" and most of their drawers run on candlewaxed wooden runners. To be clear this is not how the majority of cabinets are made these days. This is true craftsmanship and I would love to see more detailed shots of their work. Below are a few favorites.
