Sorry for being absent for the past few days but we have been super busy buying a house! It was a grueling five weeks in process but on Monday at 1pm we signed the papers and finally got keys! The house was built in 1863 and while it is not a complete fixer upper there is so much to be done. We have already gotten to work ripping out carpet and meeting different tradesmen for the various and long list of projects. We plan to do a lot of work ourselves and at a minimum be educated about the things we hire out - so get ready for lots of home renovation blog posts. I also really want to share what our experience has been buying a house. It has been no walk in the park and when we were going through it (up until two days ago) I would have found it helpful/comforting to know that we were not alone in our "challenges".
Thanks for your patience as I get back to a regular posting schedule. I am super excited about the house and also really looking forward to adding a whole new dimension to THE PLACE HOME. Stay cool!
