Happy Friday! I wanted to give a quick plug to my friends at Artifact Uprising (hey Brad) as the holiday shopping season is coming to a close. We are big fans of AU and have been amassing quite a little collection of their products. We LOVE their keepsake Wooden Boxes. We have one for Jane that contains special tokens from her birth as well as a Square Print Set of her newborn photos. We also have one for our wedding which also has a Square Print Set. Other favorite items include their photo stands - Wood Block + Prints, Walnut and the newest addition Cork + Brass! I don't really like freestanding photo frames as I tend to think they lend themselves towards clutter. Thus the stands are the perfect way for me to display photos as they take up less space, are visually simplified and can be easily changed out or even stored. 

We also have a few of their Ultra Thick Signature Prints and a Softcover Photo Album - both also great products!

things I have my eye on lately

I feel like I have been doing a lot of shopping lately. Not necessarily finding the things I am looking for...but coming across some beautifully handcrafted items as well as some great mass market retail deals.

Below is a random sampling of things I have had my eye on lately... 

indigo, madder & catechu quilted pillow by EB Quilts | THE PLACE HOME

I love the colors of this hand stitched quilted pillow by EB Quilts. Working out of her Cincinnati studio, Elizabeth Bruemmer makes handmade quilts, pillows and wallhangings using naturally dyed and repurposed fabrics. Check out her website for more examples of her work. 

Not in the least bit handcrafted but still quite nice are these chairs from Pier 1. I haven't seen them in person but they are on clearance for $119.98/chair which is a steal for a nicely detailed, upholstered dining room chair.

Collin Garrity is a local Saint Louis woodworker making objects for the home, office and personal accessory. I just love a talented local find! His work is available for purchase and viewing on his website or on his Etsy shop.

Another steal of a deal are these director chairs from World Market. I love directors chairs and the price is definitely right at $129.98 for 2! I might have to go and pick up a set (or two) for our porch....just have to decide whether to go with the white or the stripe.

Holli Zollinger is a Utah based artist and fabric designer. Her work is available at Spoonflower, Society 6, Urban Outfitters and probably a quite a few other places. She has so many amazing patterns so make sure to check out her huge select on Spoonflower. Also don't miss her few cool art prints on Society 6 as well.

frances loom

Today, I am sharing one of my newest and best resources for antique rugs - Frances Loom. Started in the fall of 2014, Frances Loom is an online retailer based out of California.  Posting new rugs for sale every Thursday morning at 8am PST,  these one of a kind pieces sell crazy fast. In Frances Loom, Kelly Vittengl - owner and "rug slinger" - has created a one stop shop of antique rugs that saves the shopper the time and hassle of scouring Ebay and Craigslist. Yes - her pieces are a little higher priced but her taste is impeccable.
