metal seam roofing
Emily Oster
Lately, I have really been into metal seam roofing. I know a weird thing to be interested in but I love the subtle pattern of the seams and how different yet classic it looks. Architectural sheet metal roofing has been around for a long time and can be made from several different types of metal. It can be formed on site or prefabricated into sheets. Both methods of construction use a system of joining and fastening that is watertight and protected against windlift but also allow for expansion and contraction between sheets caused by temperature change. Metal seam roofs are suitable for almost any climate although careful design consideration should be taken when dealing with large amounts of snow. Most of the examples above are of standing seam metal roofs although there are also flat seam roofs as well as batten seam roofs. Happy Monday!
