Slim Aarons was an American photographer who was known for shooting celebrities, socialites and the wealthy. He began his career working as a military photographer at West Point and later went on to become a combat photographer in WWII. Aarons never used a make up artist or stylist but rather described his work this way - "photographing attractive people doing attractive things in attractive places". Below are a few favorites.
